Class 121 55031 and 55029 Woburn Sands 11 September 1999. There were some extremely cheap Group travel deals being offered by Virgin Trains from Scotland at this time so we decided to come down for the day and partake of the Class 31s topping and tailing on the Bletchley line. We drove from Edinburgh to Motherwell to catch a Glasgow to Euston and changed at Milton Keynes. To get the good deal we had to book well in advance and sadly by the time our weekend came round the 31s had been replaced by two pairs of bubbles. Still though ...............................
